Already have the same design carry on so pleased to match up the small roller. Love the pattern. Less likely to go over weight in this size as you can stuff so much in all the compartments! Son has a large roller too. Versatile enough for ski holiday use and more formal packing in the firmer base. This purchase has currently travelled successfully to Indonesia. Thanks to Facewest for efficient delivery.

Fantastic piece of luggage. Exactly what I was after and as described. Loads of room and lots of separate compartments - will be using instead of a suitcase for all future holidays. Usual Dakine quality.

4 Dakine Split Roller Review 100L (Large)

Very pleased. Robust, good quality and smart looking.

After sweating it out by air and train with wheel-less luggage for the past few years (and with a separate boot bag attracting an additional charge with most airlines) I purchased the Dakine Split Roller 100L (Large). I've just returned after taking it on a ski trip and wish I had got one of these much earlier as it saved a load of effort (and happily without the need for an elusive 2 Swiss Franc coin for a baggage trolley).

At 5kg I was worried that it took nearly a quarter of my hold baggage allowance before I'd taken so much as a pair of socks. You do need to be careful as you can easily exceed a 23kg limit if you fill it.

My ski boots fitted happily (with a considerable amount of other stuff) in the lower half of the bag, and my helmet fitted neatly enough in the smaller of the 3 mesh pockets in the upper half.

The lower section has a fairly rigid construction. This gave great protection for my ski boots although it also means it requires some space for storage.

It is very stable wheeling it around and was easy enough on snow. It has a number of handles to when you need to lift it. I found it a little awkward carrying it up and down stairs - but that is a minor point.

Ordered the 100 Litre version in black/checks, very fast delivery 18 hours from order to arrival.

Very good rigid bottom and very well constructed pull out handle. The replaceable skateboard type wheels give a smooth ride, and do not project out from the overall width of the case, i.e. should not get damaged in aircraft hold (hopefully). Impressed with the zips, heavy duty YKK, but holes for locks only big enough for TSA ( American security ) type padlocks. Internal top and bottom sections are separated by zipped mesh closures, ideal for dirty / clean separation.

If you are going to fly this size bag is ample for 23 kilo weight limit. And if you want to find it in baggage reclaim, I would recommend this colour.

WOW - This luggage is superb.

I recently purchased two large split rollers in preparation for our winter skiing holiday. However, a last minute holiday came up and we used the luggage for a 10 day trip abroad.

This is a quality product with huge amounts of room - my missus even struggled to fill it !! The individual mesh compartments are great and the case is more than a match for the forces of luggage handlers.

Bags of room, bags of style and top quality. A must for any serious traveller. Bring on the skiing !!

Purchased for inter-continental travel as a trainer. The different mesh pockets are excellent: 3 one level, two the other that act as a cover for a deeper compartment. Plenty of handles and two hand shallow pockets on the outside. Rollers work really well. Delivery amazing as usual. Combine with Exped mesh luggage bags and you have the ultimate kit!!!
