It's coming up to my 3rd year with my Nomad. BEST bag I’ve ever owned! Super versatile, great pack for MTB/light snow missions as well as travelling. You can attach so much to it and it looks stealth in black. This is always my go-to bag for any light day mission whatever the sport.

I have had a nomad for about 3 or 4 years now and used it extensively for mountain biking in the UK. I also use it as a day pack when walking or on longer rides on my road bike.
It is very sturdy and the bladder system is tough and very functional. It has great facilities for external carrying of leg armour and helmet, a soft glasses phone pouch and the net on the back is good for sandwiches etc. Its fits on the back is comfortable even when full and for a ruck sack looks good!
It was not particularly water proof originally so I give it a coat of fabric sealant every so often, this really helps. It has been a constant companion with my riding and from the way its wearing I am pleased to say its going to be around for a long time to come.
It will easily hold a spare top and a soft skin or a water proof and have room for tools, pump, tubes and a thermos and of course plenty of food, and still feel good on your back. The only draw back with my Nomad is the lack of external pockets and this is something the manufacturers have now addressed, the newer models having side pockets.

I bought this pack before a camping / walking trip to Ireland around a month ago. My intention was to use it as my daytime pack to carry water, towel, knife, food etc and I am pleased with my purchase.
Although the pack is designed with biking or snowboarding in mind I found that the layout works just as well for other activities (for example, the water section doubles very nicely for carrying a netbook and charger in a semipadded compartment).
It is very sturdy, the material is double stitched and rugged, as are the zips. The seperate netted compartments in the front section are useful for carrying mp3 players and cables, and I even got my portable speakers in there without much bother.
It is very comfortable to wear and the clip at the top to hold the straps on your shoulders works very well.
Unless youre specifically looking for a larger rucksack then I recommend this one fully.

Had one of these for 2 years now and used at most trail centres and off the beaten track rides in the UK and the Alps where my smaller pack doesn't provide me with enough space.
The positives are:
You can fit everything you need for a day in the hills and a lot you probably don't.
3L bladder
Can carry pads on outside securely without getting in the way
Negatives:
Isn't the cheapest. But you get what you pay for with Dakine packs
Recommended!
