Great skiing on uncrowded slopes. Great off piste and some more challenging terrain. Great Ski touring.

Areches
An unknown resort for the English, it is a small resort with some varied terrain to suit all abilites. Don't expect to meet any Brits on the slopes, this is a traditional French resort with great potential for untracked snow. Small but with some excellent off piste.

Fantastic ski touring opportunities.

50kms of runs.

Our best advice is to try a couple of days at each resort for the best variety. There is a Beaufortain area pass that costs 95 euros for 5 days and allows up to 2 days in each of the above resorts.

Ski hire and ski lessons are available at all the above resorts at very reasonable prices.

If you are prepared to venture further afield then the following resorts are within easy reach for day skiing: (Don't try these on a Saturday as the traffic will be horrific)

Valmorel (40mins)
Meribel (1hr20)
Les Arc (1hr 20)
La Plagne (1hr 20)
Val D'isere(1hr 40)
Chamonix (1hr30)
