Bridgedale Coolmax Liner (2 Pairs)

Bridgedale Coolmax Liner (2 Pairs)

The Bridgedale Coolmax Liner is a baselayer for your feet. Worn beneath your regular outdoor sock, they wick moisture from the foot ensuring all day comfort.

A liner sock will actually reduce friction between the sock and skin of the foot, instead this friction or rubbing is between the liner and outer sock, so if you're suffering from blisters or sore feet then a liner sock may actually help.

Liner socks on their own also make great summer weight socks when worn with approach shoes or in fact with your every day shoes around town.

Please note there are TWO pairs per pack

These are very thin socks, I've used them on their own in the summer and they were comfortable, but I wouldn't put them through intensive use on their own because of how thin they are, they wouldn't give much protection on hard terrain and wouldn't last for long. These were definitely designed to be worn as liners, I will put them to a more thorough test in the winter. I'm size 42.5 and went for the mediums, which gave me a good fit.

Since I've started using these liner socks, I haven't got any blisters. Period. You just have to be careful not to leave any wrinkles on the liner when putting the other socks over them.

About sizing: I have a size 45 (Eur) and ordered these in Large (44-47 on the Bridgedale size charts). They run a bit large, but only when you try to pull them tight. I think a medium size might have worked better (less wrinkling when putting the main socks on), but I haven't tried it.

Over the last 18 months my outdoor adventures have ranged from lowland nature spotting walks through to winter trekking in the Atlas Mountains, and at all times I have relied upon Bridgedale Coolmax Liners to keep my feet comfortable and blister-free. Regardless of whether they were worn underneath lighter-weight trail socks or heavier-weight all season/mountain socks, they performed faultlessly - the wick really well, have no tendency to ruck up and aren't prone to causing overheating. As always, it's worth taking the time to smooth out any wrinkles once you've pulled your main socks on, but other than this they're fool-proof and do exactly what Bridgedale claim. Highly recommended.

These Bridgedale liner socks really enhance my enjoyment of walking in the spring and summer. I wear Smartwool hiker socks and Gortex boots and with the Smartwool liner socks my feet just get too hot.

With the Bridgedale liners my feet stay dry and cool, and my feet feel noticeably less tired at the end of the day.

Very good value.

Bridgedale socks are the only socks I will use when I am out walking and the liner socks are a must to have on under them. They are very thin and light you don't even notice you are wearing them but they are comfortable to wear and protect skin from rubbing against the outer sock.

I have just walked Snowden wearing the liner sock and had no rubbing or blisters, these are a great product and you get two pairs for the price. The service from Facewest was as always 1st class.

Never had a specific base-layer sock before, I just used to wear any old thin sock beneath my thicker pair, but after using these I can see why they are so popular. Also, I thought they were well priced. I have given 4 stars, not 5, as they will wear out after a lot of use, they are very thin. but they are still feel great on the foot. I am a UK size 9.5 and went for a size smaller than was recommended, and was hoping this would give a snug, but comfortable fit, and it did. I would recommend this product, and once again excellent service from Facewest.

I purchased the Bridgedale Coolmax liner socks for use mainly as a base-layer socks. I just used them under a pair of Smartwool extra mountaineering merino socks and they did the job: dry feet and no blisters!

Can be used alone in summer, but in this case donīt know how they will work because itīs not their main function.

They also dry very quickly after use.

Bought as a liner to use with another merino blend sock primarily for Winter use.

They are super fine, I don't imagine they would last that well on there own, but as a liner they move well, helping to remove any chance of blisters and hot spots while adding some warmth. They also help to get rid of that tired clammy feet feeling toward the end of a hard day.

Good price for an excellent product.

I purchased these Bridgedale Coolmax liner socks for summer use, as I enjoy walking in the warmer weather. I used them under a pair of medium weight socks and found them cool and seemed to cope with perspiration easily. They were still a little warm so on the next outing I used them on their own without other sock. They still did a great job but were much cooler, so will be wearing just these liner socks for my summer walking outings in the future. I have suffered from blisters in the past but these liner socks are very smooth (seamless). They also dry very quickly after washing, ideal when you need them the next day when camping overnight. Great product.

Bought these to prevent blisters when used in combination with another merino sock from a reputable manufacturer. They are fantastic. The first time I used them was on a hilly 15 miler and the outside heel blisters that might normally cripple me towards the end were non-existant. The quality of the materials and manufacturing were top class as expected and they are so fine that you barely notice them under your normal socks.

They also represent great value for money with 2 pairs per pack! Anyone who has trouble with blisters should definitely invest. You spend Ģ50 on a baselayer for your top half, why not treat your feet to a little of the same. They are what carries you forth!
