The Black Diamond Stigma is a lightweight Backcountry / Touring Ski.
- Dimensions: 124-80-108
- Weight: 1440g (176cm)
- Construction: Wood Core.
The Stigma is from Black Diamond's Efficient series. This ski is targeted at the backcountry skier / ski Tourer who want a light and efficient ski. We'd recommend this ski for hut to hut tours, or those who seek out the biggest vertical ascents. At 80mm under foot it will still cope well on the downhill.
Facewest ratings
Freeride:
We give this 2 stars. Too light and not fat enough for serious downhill performance.
Backcountry:
3 stars. A good lightweight backcountry ski. Will be appreciated by those who favour a lighter ski. Still good performance considering the ski weight. More suited to mixed / hard pack performance over soft snow performance.
Touring:
5 stars. A great hut to hut ski. Light with enough downhill credentials to put a smile on your face. An ideal Haute Route type ski, with more downhill emphasis than a traditional skinny touring ski.
Facewest Verdict:
An ideal hut to hut ski, or for long days out.

Black Diamond Stigma Review
Reviewer: harry stagg, nairn (21-2-2012)
A good lightweight pair of touring skis.
With Dynafit bindings nice and light to carry, down side is they chatter and do not exactly crash down hard Scottish ice, but then any lightweight ski has the same issues.
Great for touring - for off piste/back country go a bit heavier/wider but if there is chance you have to carry (traditional Scottish winter) then excellent skis.
