A solid probe that seems of robust construction. Easy and quick to deploy with a sharp tug on the cable. The locking mechanism snaps into place with a reassuring click so you know it is locked solid and won't come apart when pulling out of the snow. The non slip section at handle end will aid use wearing gloves and in wet conditions. Depth markers every centimetre is too much information but is just cosmetics.

I would recommend these probes. The longer the better, as it doesn't add much weight and you wouldn't want to be caught short when it matters.

Solid choice for a probe, can't really fault it. Quick to assemble, easy to adjust the tension on the lock and the lock itself is easier to use and feels stronger than some others I've used. The bag tore at the base but can't complain about that too much, duct tape sorted that out. 265cm is really the minimum length I'd go for in a probe to give a good length above the snow surface to work with. I certainly wouldn't go less than 240.
