Two bright unregulated LEDs with tilting head for directional light source.
Elastic head band with toggle adjustment.
Uses 1 6V battery (camera battery), Gives a 9m beam at full power and total burn time of 3 hours.

Like all standard LED headlamps the Ion is good for looking at maps,using in a tent, looking in your sack or lighting your feet when walking in the dark. It does not have a beam that will penetrate darkness for looking into the far distance. The Ion is an unregulated headtorch. See below for more details.
The Ion is fantastically simple and light. The strap can be tied around a tent pole, the wrist or worn on the head. A great torch for the space and weight conscious who will not need a beam or as an emergency car/pocket torch.
