The Black Diamond Aspect is a lightweight Backcountry / Touring Ski.

The Aspect is from Black Diamond's Efficient series. This ski is targeted at the backcountry skier / ski Tourer who want a light and relatively wide ski. It has very good soft snow performance due to it's width. A great touring / backcountry ski optimised for soft conditions. This ski will begin to show it's limitations on hard snow and in mixed conditions if skied hard. But it's 1500g and 90mm underfoot, that is the compromise. For the skier who want to tackle big vertical days out and make the most of any powder slopes.

We give this 2 stars. Too light for serious downhill performance.
Backcountry:
4 stars. A good lightweight backcountry ski. Will be appreciated by those who favour a lighter ski. Still good performance considering the ski weight. More suited to soft snow performance.
Touring:
5 stars. A great hut to hut ski and suited for day tours. 90mm waist will make the most of any soft snow.
