The BCA Traverse EXT Shovel is a new aluminium snow shovel from BCA intended for the recreational skier but durable enough to be your go-to shovel for skiing and mountaineering for years to come. The Traverse EXT features an extending telescopic handle with a maximum length of 30.5 inches or 77cm which gives you the reach you need for digging test pits, snow holes or when you need it the most, excavating avalanche debris.
The overall weight of the shovel is just 586g, less than many plastic shovels, but the aluminium blade is strong enough to withstand a serious amount of digging. This is a perfect shovel for almost every user from off piste skiers to winter mountaineers.
