BCA B1 EXT Shovel

The BCA B1 EXT Shovel is exactly the same blade as the BCA B1 shovel but comes with an extendible handle. The disadvantage of this is that it takes up a little more space and weighs marginally more, however the upside is faster digging.
The new blade design on the B1 shovels creates the lightest and strongest aluminium blade currently available.

BCA B1 EXT Shovel Review

Great piece of kit. The shovel is light weight and comparable in weight to some of the plastic shovels we were also carrying except it far out performed them!
The main body of the shovel is very good at cutting through the snow and the shaped surface reduces the amount of snow and ice sticking to the shovel so you can go in with a "clean blade" each time.
The extendible arm allows for a much easier shovelling motion when full extended and packs away neatly when not needed (it's small enough to strap nicely onto the back of 30ltr daysack).
The colours also stand out quite nicely against a snowy backdrop.

Really strong, flat ended shovel which I believe are the best when your tucking into hard ice and snow...the front edge doesn't buckle over.
The shovel separates readily for compact storage. Its a reasonable price for a reasonable weight. Cool colours too!
