The Womens Arcteryx Alpha SL Jacket, made from Gore-Tex 2 layer Paclite is a lightweight weatherproof shell that will easily pack away and offer a good level of breathability. The helmet compatible speed hood with stealth adjusters and chin guard make it an ideal lightweight alpine climbing piece as well as an excellent trekking jacket.

The Alpha SL is cut to provide the active person the ability to move, especially if you have to reach high. This makes it a fantastic choice for climbers and scramblers looking for the lightest possible pack-weight.

The Paclite fabrics breathability ensures comfort as you work hard, though on a warm summers day you have the option to open the pit zips and allow extra venting. However Paclite is, as it says, a light fabric. If you're looking for higher levels of breathability and greater abrasion resistance then you should consider a Gore-Tex Pro shell jacket as an alternative, though it will weigh more.
