The Arcteryx Venta SV Jacket is the ideal piece for those cold windy days on the mountain. It is a superb jacket to keep all but the worst elements at bay as you climb, ski tour or trek through the mountains and hills.

Constructed from three different types of Gore Windstopper the Venta SV ensures comfort and performance as you work hard in harsh weather. The fully adjustable drop hood is helmet compatible providing excellent protection. And should you get too warm the pit zips can quickly be undone to allow excellent venting. Each seam is taped, this enhances the water repellent properties of the jacket. Although there is a membrane within the fabric it should not be considered to be waterproof. However this membrane will resist water and combined with the water shedding properties of the DWR finish ensures that the Venta has high levels of weather resistance.

The windproof membrane is laminated into the fabric. And though the membrane is breathable it is not as breathable as Power Shield, where the membrane is perforated. For a less windproof but more breathable jacket you should consider the Arcteryx Gamma MX Hoody. please see related products below.
