Advenutre Medical Kits Ultralight & Watertight .9 Review
Reviewer: Simon, Oxford (17-8-2010)
Just brought this kit back from a hillwalking trip in Scotland.
It is so light that you will barely notice it in your rucksack. However, it has all you need for an emergency, and the waterproof inner sacks help to keep it all safe and sound.Another handy thing is that the outer casing will allow you to put other bits and bobs in. For example, I put a penknife and spare compass in there for emergency, again which helps to keep things together.

A must have.

I travel a fair amount and have struggled in the past to find the 'ideal' first aid kit, but this has got fairly close. It might be possible to get some of the equipment slightly cheaper and the lack of any drugs (I think this is UK law) is a bit of a pain but then again they are easy to pick up.
The real strength is the carry bag and the two watertight bags. Visibility is perfect, it is strong and very lightweight and the bags inside keep everything perfectly dry (just make sure you do seal them as per the instructions).
The kit is too much for a fast day pack, but for anything longer than a couple of days, especially if you're off the beaten track then this is a sensible addition to any pack.
One quick tip - Bonjela which is meant for mouth ulcers is a great local anaesthetic on blisters.
